Tara L. Johnsson graduated from Florida State University, with a degree in political science in 1993. She earned her J.D. in 1997 from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. For three years she was an Assistant Public Defender with the Broward County Public Defender's Office in Fort Lauderdale. There, she represented both juveniles and adults in felony court. Since 2001 she has practiced exclusively in the area of Social Security Disability, representing over 1500 claimants during their disability hearings.
